Stanley 2700°F High Temp Sealant is a one-part, non-flammable, sodium-silicate fireplace sealant formulated for sealing and repairing fireplaces, stoves, and chimneys. It adheres firmly to firebrick, cinder block, metal, and mortar. Features & Benefits
- Extreme Temperature Resistance: Withstands direct flame and short-term exposure up to 2700°F (1500°C).
- Versatile Fireplace Sealant: This fireplace sealant creates a strong bond to firebrick, stone, concrete, and metal surfaces.
- Smooth & Easy Application: This high temperature sealant is workable, smoothable, and allows for easy water clean-up before curing.
- Rigid, Durable Seal: Cures to an extra-hard, non-fragmenting mass, making it ideal for static (non-moving) joints.
- Low Odor Formula: Features a low odor for a more pleasant application experience.

Application Areas
- Fireplace & Stove Repair: Ideal for sealing joints and filling cracks in chimneys, ovens, and fireplaces. Use it as a spot fireplace sealer for missing mortar.
- Masonry Joints: An effective heat resistant caulk for applications on fire brick and cinder block.
- Metal Assemblies: Can be used as a stove pipe sealant or for sealing joints in metal components. Exercise care as the sealant is rigid and does not move with metal expansion.
- Chimney Repair: A reliable chimney sealant for filling small cracks.
- Vent Connectors: A trusted high temperature stove pipe sealant for static connections. Also suitable as a wood stove pipe sealant.
How to Use
- Prepare Surface: Ensure surfaces are clean from dust, loose particles, and oil. Slightly moisten very porous surfaces.
- Apply: Use a standard caulking gun. Apply between 41°F and 95°F (5°C and 35°C).
- Smooth: To smooth the surface, use a putty knife, spatula, or a caulking tool set for a professional finish, and remove any excess material.
- Clean-Up: Use a water-dampened cloth to clean uncured sealant. Cured sealant can only be removed mechanically.
- Fire Cure: After the sealant has solidified, slowly and gradually heat it up to 482°F (250°C). The sealant will turn dark grey and become extra-hard.
