How to Use

This is a kit for filling those holes left in drywall from nail or screw removal. It would be a useful kit for getting a room ready to repaint after you've removed decorative items and their hangers from the wall and would be a great economical buy for renters who need to make those small repairs to ensure their deposit is returned. The little kit comes with everything you need to make small hole repairs such as a small amount of light-colored putty that dries fairly white, a plastic putty knife for application, and a piece of sandpaper to smooth over the dried patch. The kit even includes a small amount of mesh patch for the somewhat larger small holes that need a backing for the putty to adhere to such as the ones a doorknob might make in the wall if there were no door stop to keep it from repeatedly banging into the wall. Not a bad kit for those quick, and minor drywall repairs.

We used this kit to repair the wall around our front door. It had a good sized crack that has been there for quite a while. My mom said she thought the putty was a bit too thin/liquidy, but I actually thought it worked really well and allowed us to get it in right where we needed it. I was not a fan of the spatula/putty knife, but we just used another that we already had. We ended up using the entire tub of putty, and we had a bit left over to fill some holes from hanging up pictures. It dried in a reasonable amount of time and then it sanded down nicely with the provided sandpaper. I think this kit is good to have for small repairs, and I do like how it has all the parts needed to get the job done from start to finish.

Been doing some minor home improvement recently and some redecorating came along for the ride. Needless to say, loads of n ail holes now need to be patched and painted. Trying to get started on that was what made me realize I didn't have the SUPPLIES for the job! Along came Stanley and his "Stanley Drywall Patch Repair Kit - 1x9.5 Fl Oz., Complete Drywall Patch Solution for Home DIY, includes Wall Hole Filler, Spackle Wall Repair and Putty Hole Repair - 1 Pack" and now I'm ready to rock and roll. Everything I need for minor drywall patching is in this kit. There's even a handy aluminum patch for holes larger than the little ones I know I have to fix, and I'm thankful to have it because I know my own tendency to make messes while fixing messes. My "spidey sense" is tingling as I type this - I can almost feel my elbow going through a wall right now! Yay for aluminum patches to fix up the wall when that happens! This is a brand that I have trusted for many years and I have no doubt that my expectations for this product will be met, if not exceeded. Happy to recommend.

This is a great little repair kit for drywall. If you live in an apartment, and need to patch up a few little picture frame holes, or any small mars in the drywall, this kit is perfect for you. It has everything you need, all in one package. Spackle, a spreader, and a nice resealable container, to keep everything from drying out, it's great for the occasional DIY project, and saves money so you don't have to buy everything separately, and end up having way to much stuff, when all you need is just a little. And, as it's from Stanley, you can trust that you're getting a quality product. This kit really saved me, when I had an inspection and had to fix a small dent in the wall that happened when I was moving some chairs. Five stars!

I was hoping there might be multiple patches, or that I could cut the patches to fit my needs. You only get one very large patch, and it consists of metal mesh with an outer nylon mesh. It is quite large: 6" x 6". So basically, you can fill one very large hole, but not several smaller holes. I guess you could try cutting the individual meshes, but you would need tin snips but the metal one. You get lots of compound, so I guess they expect you to fill a very large hole. You also get a putty knife, which is adequate, but that tiny square of sandpaper is a bit laughable. I would suggest using a larger piece of sandpaper. I think you might be a bit frustrated with that. Ultimately, this is fine if you just have one very large hole, that really needs the reinforced mesh. If you were expecting to custom cut the mesh, it's not going to be the right kit for you.

This was just ok, not much savings from the big box store other than it is an all in one application. Might have saved a couple of bucks and gas to teh store to go get it. The spackle was good, it wasn't dried out. It patched up the holes in my wall from a tv mount that needed to be repaired. The color matched well, but I still had to paint over it. I would have liked a little sandpaper in the kit that would have been even better. Over all i would get it again, but better if it was cheaper than Lowe's
