Used it on my car to seal a gap between the hood and plastic rock deflector the dealer installed badly... Flows very nice with a standard caulking gun. Pull the back tab I dumped out the little bee bees that are behind the tap (not sure what they were for but didn't need them) ...and insert into your gun. Use a nail or screwdriver to punch a hole in the tip end. Screw on the tip applicator and cut to the size bead you need and you are ready to go. It does Not keep pouring out when you stop squeezing the trigger thats so sweet! Begins to set up fast so don't mess around I did have plenty of time to get done my simple job. Cleaned up tools and and any drips and such with rubbing alcohol. Easy peezy... I suggest you wear latex/ nitrile gloves. I used it outside so in an enclosed area I would use a fan or other means to avoid breathing any vapor. I like this product. If it last a long time then I'll love it hahaha

I'll start with my only complaint, and I hate to actually have to say it, because this is the first WELL-DESIGNED tube I have ever seen for urethane sealants. The instructions on the tube clearly say that the shelf life is noted on the container. Unfortunately, I could not find any date on the tube. There is a coded batch number, but no discernable coding that would reveal the expected shelf life. I looked up the Technical Data Sheet on the product, and found it is listed as 12 months. Now... if I could only figure out when it was made. :( The reason I bring this up is that urethanes are notably sensitive to shelf life. MUCH more so than other tube sealants. Urethane requires moisture to cure, and invariably over time, moisture will usually get into a tube, even though it appears to be well sealed. So this is where I get into something that I have never seen in a tube sealant -- a pull-top tab on the bottom of the tube that seals off the bottom of the tube! This is where seal failure typically occurs on other products. THEN, on top of that, there is dessicant sealed inside that space to remove any moisture that was in there before it was sealed with the metal pull-top lid. FANTASTIC design. The top of the tube is also well designed -- it had a screw-on tip, which is significantly easier to work with, if you want to seal a tube again after use. The rest of that top is also sealed fully in thin metal, which appears it should further protection from moisture, particularly if you plan on storing the used tube. I have to say, when I only partially use a tube of another brand of urethan-based tube sealant, I might as well through the half-used tube away, if I don't use it up in the next week or so. After even a couple weeks, even the slightest bit of moisture will invariably get into those tubes and cause it to completely cure (MUCH sooner than latex or silicone caulks do). Overall, this is just a fantastic design. I wish they printed the shelf life across the top, rather than a batch number (with no easily discernible code that equates to a date).

I ordered this sealant a month ago and was waiting for a good application to use it. Finally I found a discarded drop spreader that had used duct tape for an attempted repair. I decided to use aluminum sheets and coat them with the sealant. I then adhered and clamped them to the plastic. I did give the sealant a little misting with water before attaching to speed up the curing process. They cured within 15 minutes. I like this sealant a lot and I think my repair will give this drop spreader years of service.

I needed to replace some of the fasteners on my Expedition's roof rack and noticed that there were a few areas that could potentially leak under the main rack rails. I debated between black or white for the color, but settled on the white due to the paint color rather than the rack color. The seam sealer was nice and thick (not a self-leveling sealer) so you can actually build up a cap with it. It does start to skin over and dry pretty quick, so you do have to work with fairly small areas and try not to touch it once you've got it set. It adhered to the paint and the bare metal really well.

I have an old 50's truck with a 2 piece metal roof. The old seam sealer had cracked and was letting water leak into the cab. I removed all the old seam sealer with a wire wheel and resealed it with this. No more leaks, hopefully it will help the old truck to last another 70 years. I'm going to have to get a few more tubes as I still have more work to do to some of the body panels as there are holes on the floor and doors that still need repairs and replacement panels.

I got this caulk to fill an expansion joint in the concrete under my garage door that was letting mice in. The caulk itself works as advertised. It is a moisture-cure urethane with a xylene solvent. It is very thick. It will adhere to a vertical surface without running and it will hold its shape when applied. This caulk is definitely not self-leveling, which was perfect for my application. I needed it to stay where I put it without sagging or creeping. However, when you fill a void there will be some ropey strands of caulk on the top so tooling for a uniform surface is a must. I did this with a putty knife and a gloved finger, both dipped in xylene, which solvent will also remove uncured material. The color I ordered was gray, but it is a light bluish-gray and does not match the color of concrete at all. You can see the color difference in one of my photos. After I tooled the surface of the caulk with a putty knife dipped in xylene, I sprinkled some concrete grouting mixture on the surface and pressed it in lightly. After curing overnight I vacuumed the excess cementitious material away, leaving a much more "concrete" appearance to the caulk surface. The caulk comes in an aluminum tube with a metal seal at the front end. The back of the tube has a pop-top aluminum seal like with a can of tuna. The purpose of this is to extend the unopened shelf life, absolutely exclude all moisture, and prevent the offgassing of the xylene solvent. Underneath the cap is about a teaspoon of silica desiccant beads. You need to dump them in the trash before putting the tube into a caulking gun. Despite the somewhat narrower opening at the back of the tube to to the rim of the pull-top, the tube fit just fine in a Home Depot HDX caulking gun. The screw-on nozzle was pretty risky-dink. The included cap is supposed to thread onto the nozzle but it would not do so, nor would it friction-fit. You can cut the nozzle to the size of bead you want. However, as this cap does not work and pretty much any cap is still going to allow water vapor in and solvent out, you should consider planning your work to do all your caulking at once. Unused caulk may last a couple of days if you can find a really good seal, but plan on tossing this product after your day's caulking. The smell of the xylene solvent is pretty intense. Perhaps this is a professional product that does not need to comply with Federal and State VOC requirements. You will definitely want to use this in a well-ventilated area.

Ordered this Ultra Fast Curing Polyurethane Sealant - 1X10.1 OZ - White - Automotive Seam Sealer for use in repairing my truck back door panel. Have been restoring an old Ford truck and replaced a couple floor panel corners and also bottom door panel on interior. I used a cutting torch to remove the rusted panels and spot welded new metal back in place. I needed some good seam sealer to seal these joints permanently. Recently was shopping online for some welding supplies and saw this Stanley Polyurethane Sealant, and reading about it and how it works and dries, cures, and weather resistant and ordered it. This is exactly what I needed as this is a good quality sealer. I ordered the white and like the fact that it can be painted over. I like the metal tube and came with a "screw on nozzle" to save any unused portions. It is designed to also fit/work in a caulk gun. This filled all my seams all around the cut/replaced panels. I let it dry overnight and it was dry enough to prime/paint over next day. I like the way it dried and laid out a smooth seam. This is good stuff and contains a good quality and tough material, when it drys. I will certainly be ordering more of this for future repairs and various repairing of vehicles and equipment. Happy with order

I recently used this Polyurethane Sealant for a few automotive and home projects, and I have to say, I am impressed by this product! This sealant is available in a very convenient tube, and application is quite easy precisely where needed. The ultra-fast curing time stands out at its most impressive. It sets extremely quickly, allowing me to complete the rest of my steps without waiting for it to set. Additionally, the black color blends well with most automotive and construction materials and provides a clean finish. Strong to both metals and plastics. No adjustment to the bond due to vibrations and weather. Plus, it's paintable so I can add any finish I want without compatibility issues. The consistency of the sealant is easy to work with; it is not too thick, hence application quite simple, and at the same time gives excellent gap-filling ability.

Some polyurethane caulks are UV sensitve and have to be painted over - no information about that at all in this. No MSDS. I'm using it to re-seal some exterior solarium glass - which is about the toughest challenge possible. It applies nicely, flows faster than other caulks I used, but predictably (I use a power caulk gun), But it is a heck of a mess to clean up if you get it on ANYTHING, so prepare for that in advance. I won't know for a year at least how well it stands up - the other poly caulks I've used seem to hold up well for at least 5 years. I'll try to remember to update this then:)
