Great quality product from a trusted name brand. It's silicon caulk just as the product is described. It has a pretty strong odor that is typical with silicon caulk but it goes away after it cures for a few days. It is a really great deal for the price because you get two tubes at an economical price.

I couldn't find a light gray caulk for my kitchen, so I was so happy when I saw Amazon sold this. The nozzle works perfectly and the color is great.

I won't go into the virtues of room temperature vulanization as that has been covered by other reviewers. However, I will note that this is a really low viscocity formula of RTV that works great for horizontal cracks. We have been working to seal our basement floors due to radon and this sealant really flows well into the cracks and to a certain extent self levels. I don't need it to look perfect because there are drain pains where I cannot our calk gun and I can literally flow this sealant between the pan and the wall. Perfect! That said, this may not be a good product for everyone so please do your homework to make sure you get the right product for the job. I'm rating it 4/5 stars for working very well for my need.

Let's start with the performance aspect, which is arguably the most important factor when choosing a sealant. RTV multipurpose silicone sealant delivers outstanding performance in a variety of applications. Unlike other caulks that harden and become brittle over time, this silicone caulk remains flexible, allowing natural expansion and contraction without affecting its integrity. This flexibility is especially important in areas prone to movement, such as around doors and windows, where hard sealants can crack and break. Additionally, this sealer's clear formula ensures a consistent finish that blends seamlessly with any surface. Another aspect that sets this putty apart is its ease of use. Unlike some sealants that require specialized tools or extensive preparation, RTV Multipurpose Silicone Sealant can be applied easily using a standard caulk gun. Unlike solvent-based caulks that require harsh chemicals to clean, this silicone caulk can be easily wiped clean with soap and water while still wet. I also like the quick cure time of this sealer. This quick turnaround time minimizes downtime and allows me to complete the project efficiently without having to wait days for the sealer to completely dry. Durability is paramount when it comes to sealants, especially in high-humidity areas like kitchens and bathrooms. I'm happy to report that RTV Multipurpose Silicone Sealant excels in this regard. Once cured, it forms a strong waterproof barrier that effectively blocks moisture, preventing mold growth. Additionally, the flexibility of this sealant ensures that it maintains its waterproofing even as surrounding materials expand and contract with temperature changes. This prevents gaps or cracks from forming that could compromise the integrity of the sealant and lead to leaks or drafts. In terms of value, RTV Multipurpose Silicone Sealant offers outstanding value for money. Despite its high performance and durability, it is priced competitively with other sealants on the market. When you consider the savings associated with preventing water damage and the need for costly repairs down the line, investing in a high-quality sealer like this is a no-brainer. Before applying sealant, make sure the surface is clean, dry and free of dust or debris. Use tape to create clean, straight lines when taping around windows and doors. If you are working in a particularly humid environment, consider using a dehumidifier to speed up the sealant's curing process. For best results, apply the sealer at temperatures between 40°F and 100°F, avoiding extreme heat or cold that can affect its cure time and performance.

This Stanley tube of gray room temperature vulcanizing (RTV) silicon applied smoothly as a fairly low viscosity formulation. My project being a silicone edge bead sealant over a foam backer rod with new laminate flooring installation. I found that with my caulking gun even with anti-drip piston pull-back which normally works real well there was continued leakage of this silicon. That very low viscosity may be a virtue for you unless you have sagging on vertical applications. I didn't have cause to test this and didn't expend any caulk just so that I could. My impression is that you will will not have sagging and be fine unless you are applying a large volume vertical bead. This formulation has a pretty long open time for dressing or tooling before it skins over. That attribute can be particularly helpful if your application requires that care. This caulk requires some time for cure but it has a strong rubbery flexibility when it is. My wife commented on the strong vinegar smell which showed up as soon as I applied some of this. I understand that this is released as part of the curing reaction, so be aware of this since it is much stronger than I remember ever encountering on one of these products before. Just noting that be considered along with other cautions normally applied to this type of caulking. Stanley is a brand name in handyman tools that I have recognized and owned since my first screwdrivers at age eight. With this recognition I did not have any reservations about ordering and using this silicon caulk. I appreciate the tube design with the screw on nozzle, plus the additional cap which screws on the end of that nozzle to seal the contents part way through usage if needed. I never have very much success with tin foil or plastic wrap or tape, so a screw-on cap as a definite plus. The tube has a Lot code printed on it but no readable Mfg. Date or product expiration date. I wish it did. If you don't use all of your tubes right away you may want to just date it yourself. I don't usually watch those dates too close but have had experience with silicon caulk not properly curing on a home project a few years ago. I was reminded of that issue last week (before ordering this caulk) when I ran a test bead from an old, unopened tube from my stash which listed expiration as 2022. It did not cure! And after more than a week that test bead is still soft and gooey. When stopping at a big box store I noted that all of one major name-brand and type of silicone caulk had an expiration date in June 2023, almost a year past expiration. I pointed that issue out to the department employee and explained why it was a concern. It may not have proved to have a curing problem for me but needless to say I purchased one that was within "use by" bounds. This Stanley RTV Silicone appears to perform well and is a viable product for you to consider. The current price point of $14.95 is several $$ more than comparable name brand products which do have date codes for validation and without the very strong chemical odor during installation and curing.

Silicone is great in that it stays flexible when dry and is durable and waterproof. It is not the right product for all jobs though. This is NOT PAINTABLE. Just be sure to not use it on something you need to paint or stain. There are other products for that. Do some research on your project and make sure this is the best product for your use. The tube was easy to use, the product was fresh and was as easy to use as any silicone caulk is. Watch some videos on how to get a professional look with your caulk. It's not an easy job and you can really make a mess of it. Get some tips, have patience, go slow, and do a good job.

Works well to seal up doors or windows. Would buy again. Strong tip and thick cardboard to hold stuff in.
