Kraken Bond Fire Block Acrylic Sealant is a high-performance, single-component, water-based acrylic sealant designed to prevent the passage of flammable gases and toxic smoke. This fire blocker is ideal for sealing joints, providing more than 4 hours of fire resistance. It adheres well to most common construction substrates without the need for a primer and is easy to apply, making it suitable for both professional contractors and DIY enthusiasts. This fire block sealant remains flexible, is paintable, and has excellent slump resistance. It meets the French VOC requirements for class A+, achieves an M1 Fire Rating according to NF P 92-501, conforms to LEED credit EQc4.1 for low VOC content, and qualifies as a "low-emitting product" under SCAQMD rule 1168.

How to Use:
- Safety Precautions: Ensure good ventilation at the work area. Wear personal protective equipment. Do not eat, drink, or smoke when using this product. Always wash hands after handling.
- Preparation: The joints must be clean and free from dust, grease, and rust. For non-porous surfaces, no primer is needed. On porous surfaces, apply a primer mixture of one part acrylic sealant and 4-5 parts water.
- Application: Cut the tip of the cartridge, fix the plastic cap, and cut the tip of the cap to match the width of the surface. Apply the sealant to the joint and tool with light pressure to spread the material against the joint surfaces. Smooth the sealant with a wet finger or tool immediately after application.
- Finishing: Excess sealant can be removed with a wet cloth. Keep the sealed joint dry for at least two hours. Cured sealant can be removed mechanically.
