How to Use
- Surface Preparation: Ensure surfaces to be sealed are clean, dry, and free of dust and grease.
- Application Temperature: Apply sealant using a caulking gun when the temperature is between +41°F (5°C) and +104°F (40°C).Â
- Joint Dimensions: For optimal results, joint depth should be much less than its width, with minimum dimensions of 0.2x0.2 inches (5x5 mm). For wider joints, depth should be half the width, adjusted using backup material.
- Tooling: After application, tool the sealant with light pressure within 5 minutes to spread it against joint surfaces for a professional finish.
- Cleaning: Excess uncured sealant can be cleaned with solvent; cured sealant must be removed mechanically.
- Joint Ratios: Maintain a 2:1 width-to-depth ratio, with recommended joint depths of 0.24 inches (6 mm) for widths between 0.24 in (6 mm)Â and 0.47 in (12 mm).
