Stanley Pro Gap Filler - Window & Door Gap Filler is a single-component expanding polyurethane foam used with a spray foam gun. It features higher yield, easier application, and reusability as a window door spray foam. This polyurethane foam cures with atmospheric moisture and does not contain any propellants harmful to the ozone layer. It is ideal for both professional and DIY users, providing excellent adhesion, filling capacity, and high thermal and acoustical insulation. Perfect as a big gap filler and waterproof gap filler. Suitable for indoor and outdoor use.

Features & Benefits

  • Excellent Adhesion: Provides strong bonding to most building materials.
  • High Filling Capacity: Ideal for filling gaps, joints, and cavities as a gap filler and crack filler.
  • Thermal and Acoustical Insulation: Offers high insulation properties, making it suitable for door and window insulation.
  • Precise Application: Gun use ensures precise application and economical consumption.
  • Reusable: Can be reused if the gun adapter doesn’t release.
  • Mold and Water Resistant: Resistant to mold and water, and can be painted over.
  • Environmentally Friendly: Free from ozone-depleting propellants.

Application Areas

  • Door and Window Frames: Fixing and insulating door and window frames.
  • Gaps and Cavities: Filling and sealing gaps, joints, and cavities, functioning as a foam door seal.
  • Wall Penetrations: Filling penetrations in walls.
  • Insulating Electrical Outlets and Water Pipes: Suitable for insulating around electrical outlets and water pipes, providing an effective air seal.
  • Foam for Window Seal: Ideal for use as foam for window seal applications.

How to Use

Safety Precautions: Contains Diphenylmethane-4,4'-Diisocyanate. Avoid breathing the spray/vapor. Use gloves and protective clothing in a well-ventilated area.
Surface Preparation: Clean surfaces of dust, grease, and contaminants before use. Lightly sprinkle water on the working surface.
Product Preparation: If the can is too cold or hot, bring it to room temperature. The optimal can temperature is 68°F.
Application: Put on protective gloves. Shake the can well before use. Screw the gun adapter onto the can. Hold the can upside down and activate the foam by pressing the trigger. Always handle the canister with the valve pointing downwards. Fill vertical gaps with foam starting at the bottom and moving up. Do not fill the entire gap, as the foam will expand.
Application Tips: The curing process depends on temperature and humidity; cold within 24 hours can affect seal quality. Avoid using in poorly ventilated or sunny areas. The foam may change color in sunlight; consider painting for outdoor use. Cold weather can slow curing and reduce foam yield.
Finishing: Immediately after the foam has fully hardened, protect it from UV rays by using plaster or paint. To avoid foam drying in the applicator, it is recommended to use the entire can without stopping for more than 5 minutes between sprays.
Cleaning: Use Foam Cleaner to clean fresh foam. Cured foam can only be cleaned mechanically.

I use this product to fill in walls on a mobile home. Where the insulation had dropped down and I can tell you that it worked beautifully. I was excited about the size of the can and the amount in it, and it completed the job I needed perfectly.

Bigger cans, better "grab", and cheaper than Great Stuff (at least when I purchased it a week ago). Downside is that the price has TRIPLED in a week - I paid $87 a week ago. I definitely would NOT purchase this for $220 - that is just outrageous!!

I wanted this product to fill up some gaps that were left around the drywall in my garage, and also touch up a few spots in the basement. I will say that after using this product, my work doesn't look as neat as the work that was done by the home builders. I guess you really need to practice in some inconspicuous areas first, just to prepare yourself and get a feeling for the flow of it. If your just filling in a hole or something simular, then you will probably be OK, but I was trying to make an even boarder around the base of the drywall. It doesn't look neat at all, but I guess I can go back and trim it off (which is really what I was trying to avoid). Overall, I will say that it's the user and not the product. This is very similar to the Great Stuff Foam Spray that I used many years ago, so I can say that it works well and I achieved adequate results. This is a decent size can, and they recommend using it all once you start, so I ended up using the rest of the can to fill up areas that didn't really require it. Stanley is a trusted name, so I really didn't expect any faults with their products. Make sure you have the sprayer nozzle before your ready to begin. Do to the size of the can I wouldn't really say that it's overpriced, but when you consider that you can buy two 12oz cans of Great Stuff for about $10-$14, and when you factor in that you have to purchase a nozzle for it, then it actually makes the value drop a little bit.

This product is really great and does exactly what you need it to do. It fills all the gaps just as expected. However, there are a few things you should know before you buy this. First, you need a couple of other tools to be able to use this. First, you need the gun attachment that will allow you to spray the foam. Second, if you aren't going to use the entire can in one go, you will need another can that will allow you to clean out the gun once you are finished. Otherwise, the foam will solidify inside the sprayer and you won't be able to use it again. Another important thing to know is that this stuff is very sticky. Don't try to scrape it down while it is still wet. It will stick to your spatula or whatever other tool you use. And if you touch it with your hands, gasoline is about the only thing strong enough to get it off. Instead, wait until it dries and then cut off the excess foam that has solidified. Again the product is fantastic. Just make sure you are prepared to use it correctly or you'll be in for a bit of a mess and some frustration.

Went on my foam gun perfectly and worked great to fill a small gap around some ductwork inside an interior wall. Was even able to remove it and re-use a few days later without issue. Would definitely recommend for smaller gap filling.
